Full name: Emma Grace Frost
Goes by: Emma if you know her well, Ms. Frost if you don’t
Code name(s)/Alias(es): None
Gender: Female
Age/Birth date: 29/13 September. God forbid you should mistake her for 30.
Place of birth: Boston, MA
Hometown: Boston, MA
Height: 5’ 10”
Weight: None of your business
Hair: Bleached blonde, originally brunette
Eyes: Blue
Education: Business Degree
Occupation: Chairwoman of Frost International
Family: Adrienne Frost, sister, Christian Frost, brother, deceased, Cordelia Frost, sister, Hazel Frost, mother, Winston Frost, father
Criminal record/citizenship: United States Citizen, clean record thank you very much
Affiliation: Acolyte
General Appearance: As beautiful and sophisticated as she is powerful, Emma is quite the sight to behold. Emma is blonde and blue-eyed, has a good figure, and unlike your regular runway model, Emma is quite buxom and not afraid to show it. Most of this was achieved through cosmetics, surgery, and telepathic enhancing… but of course why does she care what you think?
Emma’s attire is usually business appropriate during the day. Smart, designer suits and the best jewelry are merely assumed to be in her wardrobe, and she wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone’s expectations of her, would she? As far as her costume goes, the most politically correct way to describe it would be “sheer white lingerie with a cape”. She believes the revealing costume holds a certain power over men, and has no shame on flaunting her… assets.
Personality: Emma is the model of high class society. While all of her words, actions, and etiquette may appear “pretty”, in reality Emma is quite… opinionated, for lack of a better word. Her verbal attacks can be brutal or piercing, and attacks flung at her are merely scoffed at and haughtily dismissed with an upturned nose. Sure, she has a temper, but she masquerades it with her own ego. This is mostly due to Emma’s high self-esteem. Emma doesn’t just believe; she knows that she is a beautiful and powerful mutant. According other people Emma can come off as “snooty” or even “bitchy”, but again… why does she care?
As far as Emma’s opinions towards humans goes, she believes that although necessary that they are inferior. Then again, non-telepaths are inferior as well in her book. Everyone she doesn’t consider a threat or an equal is automatically deemed a pawn, as shown with Emma’s attitude with her powers. Unlike Xavier, Emma is liberal with her powers, not hesitating to read someone’s mind without warning or detection. In fact, to her it’s alarming when she can’t read someone’s mind, but she’d never let that register on her face.
So is there any weakness to this frosty shell? Naturally, but it’s not what you’d guess. Emma has a very strong maternal instinct, especially towards girls. Truth is, Emma wants a daughter of her own… just without the mess and the ability to hand it back to someone else whenever she grows tired of it. Since such a child can’t exist, she’ll settle for surrogating other children that remind her of… well, her. She’s very protective of “her girls”, and one that betrays her might break the icy heart.
Powers: Emma is a force to be reckoned with, as her telepathic prowess allows her to defeat her opponent without lifting a finger, literally. Some say her powers can rival Xavier’s, however she is not as powerful as him. Emma still ranks in the top ten telepaths worldwide, but she may not be as formidable as others.
Emma’s arsenal includes mind reading, thought projection, astral projection, mental pain infliction (this requires touch), psonic bolts to mentally attack an opponent, and rendering an opponent temporarily unconscious with her mind. Of course, Emma will only use as much force as she deems necessary. No point in wasting power on the insignificant.
Emma uniquely can psy-blast an opponent, causing a physical force with her mind. She doesn't like to do this because brute strength is beneath her, but she is one of the few with this ability.
Weaknesses: Emma’s physical strength is lacking. Since she mostly relies on her mental powers, a hand-to-hand fight would be beneath her simply because she’d probably lose. Emma also has quite the temper, and annoying her would make her rash and careless, if not more dangerous. Any mental immunity such as Gambit’s mental deflection powers or Magneto’s helmet would render her powers useless. Also, without the assistance of a device such as Cerebro, Emma’s mental pain powers are limited to the radius of her sight, even if she can still communicate mentally much further than that.
Power Potential: Emma’s powers could make her one of the most powerful telepaths in the world. If her true abilities were fully realized, she could theoretically induce a psychic coma from miles away.
History: Emma was born as the second daughter to the wealthy Frost family. However, like most wealthy families, the Frosts had some… eccentricities. Namely, Mommy dearest was a drug addict, Christian was gay, and thus exiled from the family, and all 3 Frost daughters were mutants. Emma really wasn’t close with any of them, so she mostly focused on her studies at the best prep schools money could buy, courtesy of Daddy dearesrt.
Emma’s teen years weren’t easy, as her grades started slipping and she began hearing unexplained voices in her head. It wasn’t until she finally figured out these thoughts were of those around her that her life began straightening out. Emma used the thoughts of others during tests to become the top of her class, a trend that continued throughout her professional career as well.
In college, Emma met a fellow telepath name Astrid Bloom, a woman who helped Emma develop her powers to a greater potential. However, Astrid was secretly trying to use Emma’s powers for her own purposes. Emma wised up, and left Astrid comatose after their fight. Emma felt guilty after doing this, for after realizing only a telepath could get Astrid out of the coma, she realized how insignificant all other life forms were.
After graduating, Emma made various powerful alliances with wealthy people, and became rich quickly, buying all of the available shares of Frost Incorporated. She now is a very powerful person in the business world, and since she’s aligned herself with Magneto to insure mutant supremacy, she has become a powerful person in the mutant world as well…
Other: Emma’s diamond form will not be included.
